World of Warcraft Shadowlands, most of the 9.0.5 update revolves around quality of life changes

World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has a major new patch. It’s mostly dedicated to tuning and keeping things in check until the next raid arrives later this year, but that doesn’t mean the changes aren’t important. Patch 9.0.5 was released on Tuesday in North America, bringing players better rewards for Mythic Plus dungeons, dozens of tuning changes, and lots of other small changes.

For those that might not have played the latest expansion, Shadowlands is the eighth expansion pack for the hugely popular MMORPG, World of Warcraft. The new expansion was released in November of 2020 and received generally positive feedback from the community and critics.

The Highlights of the 9.0.5 Update that You Should Know
On the official website of "World of Warcraft," the 9.0.5 update notes indicated that the update will be centered on system improvements and rewards, bug fixes, as well as Covenant and Legendary turning.

Furthermore, the California-based video game developer of "Overwatch" said that "WoW" players can now earn Valor Points through the Mythic Keystone dungeons. If you want to upgrade the Mythic Keystone gear rewards, you will need Valor in that case.

Last week, Blizzard said that a player can still earn 5,000 Valor in the first week, while for the succeeding weeks, they could earn 750. The good news is a player will not be limited anymore to 1,500 Valor per character.

What’s new in WoW update 9.0.5?
Summing up this update on its blog, Blizzard says, “The 9.0.5 update is focused on improving systems, rewards, Covenant and Legendary tuning, and bug fixes. Valor Points are now earnable in Mythic Keystone dungeons, and Valor can be used to upgrade new Mythic Keystone gear rewards. Changes to Covenants and Legendaries are intended to provide more gameplay options for crafting and utilizing Legendary items in specific situations, and to make sure that more players feel that the Covenant that suits their aesthetic, narrative, or other preferences for their character also feels more viable for their preferred playstyle.”

While the patch has only just made its way to live servers, it was also in testing on Blizzard’s World of Warcraft Public Test Realm for several weeks before the notes were finalized and the patch was released. Blizzard first released the notes for this patch last week, but the development team has been consistently tweaking them ever since. The final update to the notes arrived on Monday, the day before the patch went live in North America. As with most World of Warcraft patches, Blizzard will likely make a few tweaks to this update over the next few days and weeks.

Most of the 9.0.5 update revolves around quality of life changes, one example being players no longer have to click on sprits to receive their rewards in the arden wheeled queens conservatory mini game. There’s also a whole host of tweaks to various anime powers for most classes, but other than bug fixes and tweaks, there’s not a lot of brand new content to discuss.

With that being said, there are A LOT of tweaks and changes to go through, so we’ve included a link to the full patch notes for you to read at your own leisure:click here.
